Moonlight Peaks Cloud Save & Cross-Platform Notes

Moonlight Peaks does not offer cross-platform save migration. Cloud features only backup within the same store ecosystem — and Android remains the least stable option as of late July 2026. Read this before juggling Steam Deck, Switch handheld, and phone installs.

Platform snapshot

• Steam / Steam Deck — Steam Cloud enabled for most players; verify the cloud icon in the launcher after sessions. Current build: 1.1.45.
• Nintendo Switch / Switch 2 — local saves plus Nintendo account backup where supported; no sync to Steam. Current build: 1.1.46 via 1.1.46.
• Google Play Games (Android) — cloud sync failed for many users at launch; builds 1.1.51 targeted infinite loading and desync. Prefer one device until Marvelous marks the issue resolved.

Corruption risks and patches

• Patch 1.1.44 — reduced save corruption when force-quitting during writes.
• Known issues — still lists investigation items for abrupt shutdowns.
• House upgrade saves — fixed in 1.1.44; update before major farmhouse expansions.

Best practices

1. Exit via in-game menu; wait until saving completes — never alt-F4 during autosave.
2. On Steam, confirm cloud upload before uninstalling or switching PCs.
3. On Android, avoid swapping between phone and tablet until cloud patches stabilize.
4. Manual backup: copy local save folders before major patches (1.2 preview included).

Demo saves

The free demo does not transfer to the full game — start fresh on retail builds regardless of cloud settings.
