Moonlight Peaks Platforms
Moonlight Peaks is coming to PC, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and Android. Here is where you can play the demo today and what to expect on each platform at launch.
Platform choice matters for a cozy life-sim you may play for hundreds of hours. Moonlight Peaks is confirmed for four platform families at launch, with a demo already live on two of them. This guide separates what is official from what is still rumour, and points you to the right store page for your region.
Confirmed platforms at launch
- PC (Steam) — releases with the full game on July 7, 2026.
- Nintendo Switch — releases with the full game on July 7, 2026.
- Nintendo Switch 2 — releases with the full game on July 7, 2026.
- Android (Google Play Games) — releases with the full game on July 7, 2026.
All confirmed versions support the same six in-game languages: English, German, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. Interface and subtitles are fully localized; voice acting language varies by character and cutscene but subtitles cover dialogue.
PC and Steam Deck
The Steam version is the most tested build in community previews and developer streams. Controller support is strong in the demo — many players report comfortable gamepad play from the first hour. Keyboard and mouse work but have quirks: interaction keys shift between F and Space depending on context, and some menus do not use the mouse consistently. Read our controls guide before committing to a control scheme for a long save.
Steam Deck compatibility is listed on the store page. Handheld play suits the relaxed farming loop, though text size and menu navigation should be tested in the demo on Deck if that is your primary device. Performance targets have not been published, but the art style is modest enough that mid-range PCs and Deck should handle it well.
Nintendo Switch and Switch 2
The demo is available on Nintendo Switch alongside Steam, making Switch the best option if you want to try before you buy without a gaming PC. File sizes reported for Switch and Switch 2 have been smaller than some players expected for a next-gen port, which suggests efficient assets rather than a stripped-down feature set. Cloud saves and cross-progression between Switch and PC have not been confirmed.
Switch 2 launches with the same July window as the original Switch version. If you own both consoles, check whether your Nintendo Account region matches the eShop listing you plan to purchase from, especially for Asian territories where Clouded Leopard handles distribution with slightly different dates.
Android via Google Play Games
Android support runs through Google Play Games on PC-capable devices rather than a traditional mobile-only APK in all regions. Pre-registration has been inconsistent — some players saw listings disappear temporarily. Treat Android as confirmed for launch but verify your local Play Store or official site before assuming pre-load availability. Touch controls and UI scale for phone form factors have not been extensively shown in public demos, which were primarily PC and Switch.
Unconfirmed platforms
PlayStation 5 and iOS are frequently requested but not announced. Developers and publishers have not ruled PS5 out entirely in interviews, yet there is no store page or rating board listing to cite. Do not pre-order from unofficial key sellers claiming console codes. When an official port is announced, we will update this page and our release date guide the same day.
Where to play the demo now
The demo is free on Steam and Nintendo Switch only — not on Android at the time of writing. Our demo guide walks through download steps and what content is included. Use the demo to decide whether Moonlight Peaks fits your platform and input preferences before the July launch.
