Moonlight Peaks Platforms

Moonlight Peaks launched simultaneously across five platform families — unusual for an indie cozy sim and a sign of strong publisher backing from XSEED and Marvelous. This guide covers where to buy the full game today, macOS requirements, Switch 2 pricing, and where the free demo still lives.

Confirmed platforms — out now

• Android (Google Play Games) — available since July 7, 2026.

All versions support six in-game languages: English, German, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. Interface and subtitles are fully localized.

Current patch builds (late July 2026)

• Nintendo Switch / Switch 2 — 1.1.46
• Google Play Games — 1.1.51

Version numbers diverge because each store certifies separately. Always read the build string in your client; do not assume a Steam fix is live on Switch the same day. Mid-launch QoL such as plot-wide House Storage arrived in 1.1.41.

PC, macOS, and Steam Deck

The Steam build is the most community-tested version. Windows requires Windows 10 64-bit, 6 GB RAM minimum, and a GTX 660-class GPU. macOS requires macOS 14+ on Apple M1 or newer — a native Apple Silicon port, not a Windows wrapper. Steam Deck compatibility is verified on the store page.

Controller support is strong; keyboard and mouse work but have documented quirks on the controls page. Steam offers 59 achievements, trading cards, and cloud saves.

Nintendo Switch and Switch 2

Both Switch versions launched day one. The standard Switch edition costs $34.99 USD; the Switch 2 edition costs $39.99 USD. Owners of the Switch 1 version can upgrade via a $5 upgrade pass at launch. The demo remains free on Switch and plays on Switch 2 hardware.

Pre-launch reviews noted long loading times on Switch 2 in some builds — verify after any day-one patches. Cloud saves and cross-progression between Switch and PC have not been confirmed.

Android via Google Play Games

Android support runs through Google Play Games on supported devices. Touch controls and UI scaling for phone form factors were less visible in pre-launch demos than PC and Switch footage. Verify your local Play Store listing before assuming phone compatibility.

J-Anime Style (Switch Asia builds)

Clouded Leopard Entertainment distributes Switch versions in Japan and parts of Asia with an optional J-Anime Style portrait mode added in a launch-day patch. Settings → Gameplay → Portrait Style → option 2. Details on our J-Anime Style news page and controls guide.

Europe physical edition

Little Chicken announced a Nintendo Switch physical edition for Europe launching August 28, 2026 at €49.99 / £44.99, playable on Switch 1 and Switch 2. The package includes the digital soundtrack and a collectible sticker sheet — not a download-code card. Western digital releases remain the primary path elsewhere; see pricing for the active launch discount.

Unconfirmed platforms

PlayStation 5 and iOS remain unannounced. Do not buy from unofficial key sellers claiming console codes. When an official port is announced, we update this page and the release date guide the same day.

Free demo
